The Effect of Diode Laser on Viability and Antibiotic Sensitivity of Streptococcus mutans Isolated From Dental Caries

چکیده

Streptococcus mutans is one of the major cariogenic microbial flora. In an attempt to determine mutagenic effect diode laser on viability and antibiotic sensitivity this bacteria; A total 30 samples were collected from dental caries. The isolates identified using by conventional identification methods confirmed VITEK2 system. Twenty-one recorded as spp ten them mutans. Antibiotic susceptibility profile for against antibiotics was tested. results revealed that all resistant cefixime cephalothin, nine erythromycin, ampicillin, nalidixic acid, seven tetracycline bacitracin, whereas sensitive chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin gentamycin. (S5 S10) tested at different time intervals (1, 2, 5, 10) min. affected obvious change in behaviour bacteria resistance after Laser exposure
